The Glory of God

How amazing are the things we see in our world? Sometimes we spend too much time working, worrying about our problems or just staying busy that we fail to stop and look at the incredible world in which we live. The framework for our incredible world was set in motion a very long time ago, but the beauty and incredible architecture are still bearing fruit to us today.

God's Greatest Gift

Sacred scripture, inspired by God, has been handed down for thousands of years and continues to have a great impact on us and the world we live in. It is truly amazing that text two thousand or more years old can still be so relevant to the world we live in today. The greatest gift bestowed upon man by God, was providing the guidance to do His will - the Word.

Sharing the Gift and the Glory

God's Creation and Word is bringing together a small part of God's Word, using scripture, and God's Glory, using images of the world we live in today. The inspiration for each piece, a reflection or other such description will be provided herein in the hope that the sharing will continue to inspire others.

Love God and Neighbor

Weekly Reflections - March 2009

You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.

Love Your Neighbor

The sunset image I photographed in my hometown in Batangas, Philippines where I was born and raised. It is the ultimate place for some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets in the world.

God has unconditional love for us, no matter what He loves us. What distant us from God’s total embrace is sin, the cause of separation between man and God, but His love is unconditional. Many in the world can only love God and neighbor conditionally. We are people of “what’s in it for me?” Love God and neighbor not expecting anything in return and your heavenly Father will bless you abundantly.

What happened to the good ole days when people just lend a hand any day any time when a neighbor needs it not expecting anything in return? Personally, my feelings why the world is in so much trouble today with relationship with neighbor and family due to our “what’s in it for me attitude” it’s out of control. With the world’s man made infrastructure fueled by money and materialism, it’s almost difficult to do something without thinking we must get paid for it, it’s true and it’s sad. There are many times we are afforded an opportunity to lend a hand but missed the opportunity because we didn’t act in time, sometimes when help is needed it could be a life and death situation or it could be just to lend an ear giving comfort and hope to someone, or by using our special gift God has given us. Our culture tells us that when we lift a finger we should get something in return. Unfortunately there are times or many times we could have made a difference in someone’s life or someone’s day, but the culture of what’s in it for me, or I must get something in return, kicks in and we missed the opportunity to help and act to make a difference then it’s too late, it’s true. I truly think that God’s way of love of God and neighbor unconditionally is the catalyst to a world of harmony and order. As it says in Colossians 3 – Do your best in all that you do as if you’re doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which He promised to His people. You are serving the Lord Christ.

We can make a difference in someone’s life if we act as situation affords us. Be Christ like to others and you will be rewarded. Remember that Christ healed and performed many miracles out of love and nothing else.

May God be with you and open your eyes on how you can make a difference in someone’s life this week…the world desperately needs it.

General Message from Artist

I felt that God spoke to me in my heart. He says, “My creation is no less than perfect if everyone will learn how to see and appreciate it, your guide is in the book of life.” I must be obedient to this message. Ever since, I’ve been moved to truly see and appreciate His wonderful creation and words which truly give me peace. It’s not like I didn’t know how to compose properly when I shoot pictures nor didn’t know how to organize and gather the proper elements when creating an image. I just have a true conviction and the passion using my God given gift to capture the beauty of His love and creation in our natural environment.

We all are given a special gift, planted in each of us when He created us. Each are special and was meant to be used for His glory and to build His kingdom. Analyze your strength and find that special gift within you. Develop it and use it for the glory of God and you will be rewarded.

Appreciate the sunshine, all that surrounds you, the beautiful environment that God has given us which meant to give us comfort if we learn to appreciate it. All material possessions can all be gone tomorrow but the trees, the sunshine, and the free air we breathe, our loved one, all came from God will always be with us. Focus on loving God and family and do your very BEST with the given talent and undertaking His given you and He will do the rest!
