God's Creation and Word

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."
-- John 1: 1-5

The Glory of God

How amazing are the things we see in our world? Sometimes we spend too much time working, worrying about our problems or just staying busy that we fail to stop and look at the incredible world in which we live. The framework for our incredible world was set in motion a very long time ago, but the beauty and incredible architecture are still bearing fruit to us today.

God's Greatest Gift

Sacred scripture, inspired by God, has been handed down for thousands of years and continues to have a great impact on us and the world we live in. It is truly amazing that text two thousand or more years old can still be so relevant to the world we live in today. The greatest gift bestowed upon man by God, was providing the guidance to do His will - the Word.

Sharing the Gift and the Glory

God's Creation and Word is bringing together a small part of God's Word, using scripture, and God's Glory, using images of the world we live in today. The inspiration for each piece, a reflection or other such description will be provided herein in the hope that the sharing will continue to inspire others.

Weekly Reflections - March 2009

The image of the week was captured right after I picked up my daughter from school. A cold front came in bringing with it some of the most beautiful clouds patterns that I haven't seen in a long time. This particular image reminds me of the storms we face on a day to day basis. The dark clouds on the foreground represents the temporary storms. The clouds and the blue sky behind the storm represents a new beginning and bright future ahead.

They came and woke Him saying, “Master, master, we are perishing!” He awakened, rebuked the wind and the waves, and they subsided and there was a calm. Then He asked them, “Where is your faith?” But they were filled with awe and amazed and said to one another, “Who then is this, who commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him?”
Luke 8:24-25
Where is Your Faith?

When our eyes are not focused on Jesus and His works, we tend to forget that we are following the Lord of lords. If we trust and we are faithful, God will not allow bad things to happen to us. His works are always perfect no matter what even if there are times situations tend to scare us. What happen to the apostles in the sea when the storm came is no difference from the daily storm we face in our lives. The apostles have seen Jesus perform so many miracles many times over, even bringing people back to life right before their very eyes, but they still doubt just like many of us during times of prosecution. Right after Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves, He asked them, “Where is your faith?” Yes, where is our faith when the Lord of lord is the one we are following? If we are true believers and followers of God, then we should not have doubts for He is a loving God who died for us.

He is the potter and we are the clay. Most of the time during the molding process it's hard to understand why He does the things He does, but it says in the Bible "His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, so as the heaven is so much higher than the earth and so as His ways so much higher than our ways." If we trust and we pay close attention to those areas in our lives He wants to change, with trust, He will unveil the new direction He wants us to go or improve. We must then be obedient and we must follow for the peace, contentment, and success of all success for each of us rely and can only be found in God. Know that we will always have steep mountains to clime as we move forward in life, but we must not give up for the future in store for us is bright. With a strong faith and through God’s grace, His promise is always within reach.

May the good Lord bless you abundantly through the week. May He keep you safe and may this Lent season brings you the wisdom and knowledge that will unveil the peace, love, and success in God.

General Message from Artist

I felt that God spoke to me in my heart. He says, “My creation is no less than perfect if everyone will learn how to see and appreciate it, your guide is in the book of life.” I must be obedient to this message. Ever since, I’ve been moved to truly see and appreciate His wonderful creation and words which truly give me peace. It’s not like I didn’t know how to compose properly when I shoot pictures nor didn’t know how to organize and gather the proper elements when creating an image. I just have a true conviction and the passion using my God given gift to capture the beauty of His love and creation in our natural environment.

We all are given a special gift, planted in each of us when He created us. Each are special and was meant to be used for His glory and to build His kingdom. Analyze your strength and find that special gift within you. Develop it and use it for the glory of God and you will be rewarded.

Appreciate the sunshine, all that surrounds you, the beautiful environment that God has given us which meant to give us comfort if we learn to appreciate it. All material possessions can all be gone tomorrow but the trees, the sunshine, and the free air we breathe, our loved one, all came from God will always be with us. Focus on loving God and family and do your very BEST with the given talent and undertaking His given you and He will do the rest!
