We must show appreciation to each other as human being and as God’s people, no matter what profession, education level, and job position we are in. Whether your job is considered blue collar or white collar, each of us has each own calling for the glory of God…respect it. Everyone is accounted for and all are created with something special to contribute in building God’s kingdom. Many are created to be leaders and many are created to be followers; all must realize that this is reality and that’s okay. We all know that the secular world elevates certain position; we are accustomed to treating someone with more respect based upon their job title or position in our society. We must realize that all are equal in the eyes of God and all deserve the same respect, all have each own calling to execute in building a better world. Now the body is not a single part, but many. If a foot should say, “Because I am not a hand I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. Or if an ear should say, “Because I’m not an eye I do not belong to the body,” it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God placed the parts, each one of them, in the body as He intended. If they were all one part, where would the body be? But as it is there are many parts, yet one body. 1 Corinthians 14:20
Our trouble in the world in most part is that we no longer realize the value and importance of all the different callings. We no longer focus on who we truly are based upon what’s in our hearts and what we are made of. Majority in the world made us believe to only focus on what so called “big positions” in which you hear from friends, family members, in the media, and all that surrounds you. These are positions that supposedly will place us on a pedestal and will make us the most money to survive, but in most cases, it’s all a message of greed. We in the world are so blinded with many things that we are forgetting to look in our hearts anymore to see who we truly are. We must learn our calling, pursue it and take pride in it, it doesn’t matter if your job title is not CEO, what matters is that life happens when you’re at peace with God and yourself. If you think about it, if all in the world are CEOs, who would execute in all those visions, plans and initiatives? We need all the different skills and callings to be able to make it a full circle…never forget that. One thing I learned from the Family Conference in Illinois; it was something that Joe Tale had said, “All of the burdens and heaviness that we carry didn’t come from God, we chose to place them upon our selves.” Very true! Do you think that many times we pursue things in life that are not meant for us, but we do it because of media hype or maybe someone pressured us to do so. Start discerning every big decision lifting it all to God, stop placing all these unneeded heaviness that steals time out of our lives that amounts to nothing. So, have you thank those people who labor for you lately? Tip your waters/waitresses and all who works for you and be patient with them, the world will never function without people who are willing to do these jobs. We are all placed in certain position and are given special sets of skills for a greater purpose. We are all in one body in Christ. Have a great week! |
