The Glory of God

How amazing are the things we see in our world? Sometimes we spend too much time working, worrying about our problems or just staying busy that we fail to stop and look at the incredible world in which we live. The framework for our incredible world was set in motion a very long time ago, but the beauty and incredible architecture are still bearing fruit to us today.

God's Greatest Gift

Sacred scripture, inspired by God, has been handed down for thousands of years and continues to have a great impact on us and the world we live in. It is truly amazing that text two thousand or more years old can still be so relevant to the world we live in today. The greatest gift bestowed upon man by God, was providing the guidance to do His will - the Word.

Sharing the Gift and the Glory

God's Creation and Word is bringing together a small part of God's Word, using scripture, and God's Glory, using images of the world we live in today. The inspiration for each piece, a reflection or other such description will be provided herein in the hope that the sharing will continue to inspire others.

Image and Likeness of God

Weekly Reflections - January 2009

Part of Genesis 1 talked about us being created according to the image and likeness of God. It came to me as I was shooting the picture attached that if you look at the good side of one person, sooner or later you will truly see the beauty of God’s creation in that individual. On the other hand, if you look and focus on the bad side of an individual, in which the evil spirit wants us to dwell in, destruction will take center stage and relationship and love will never materialize.

This particular photograph of a flower, I shot at a different angle. Most photographers will probably photograph a flower in a different perspective, front or side angle possibly because they may think the beauty of a flower was always there. I tried a different approach on this one and shot it from the back and it truly added another dimension in its beauty.

This week, look at the good from all individual you come in contact with giving that person a chance to redeem him/herself. Try a different angle, a different perspective and see the goodness of God from that person…it will make your day and you will give life to someone and they will see Christ in you.

Never judge someone based upon their past …everyone have fallen short but granted a new life through Christ. All are perfect creation of God if we learn and try to see the beauty of an individual; all are created according to the image and likeness of God. God will give us the grace to see that beauty if we are willing. Never dwell on the bad which hinders you from the love and the abundant life God has in store for you.

May God continue to give you the grace to understand those areas of your life that are somewhat complicated…know that God has His plan. Be the light of the world and strive to always change for a better you with God on the driver seat.

General Message from Artist

I felt that God spoke to me in my heart. He says, “My creation is no less than perfect if everyone will learn how to see and appreciate it, your guide is in the book of life.” I must be obedient to this message. Ever since, I’ve been moved to truly see and appreciate His wonderful creation and words which truly give me peace. It’s not like I didn’t know how to compose properly when I shoot pictures nor didn’t know how to organize and gather the proper elements when creating an image. I just have a true conviction and the passion using my God given gift to capture the beauty of His love and creation in our natural environment.

We all are given a special gift, planted in each of us when He created us. Each are special and was meant to be used for His glory and to build His kingdom. Analyze your strength and find that special gift within you. Develop it and use it for the glory of God and you will be rewarded.

Appreciate the sunshine, all that surrounds you, the beautiful environment that God has given us which meant to give us comfort if we learn to appreciate it. All material possessions can all be gone tomorrow but the trees, the sunshine, and the free air we breathe, our loved one, all came from God will always be with us. Focus on loving God and family and do your very BEST with the given talent and undertaking His given you and He will do the rest!
