“Now the works of the flesh are obvious: immortality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, occasions of envy, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 I can’t seem to thank God enough for His goodness for bringing His community of believers to our family ever since we moved to Tampa, with the CFC Community and our Parish community; I can truly say that God is present in our lives in spite lives challenges come in abundance at times, but we will never ever doubt His works. It’s a wonderful feeling to have Godly people around, most especially during trying times. Let’s strive to always proclaim the gospel and build Christ communities until the world can be influenced once again as a world of order, through the love of God where patience, love, forgiveness, caring and giving exists. Only in God’s community by which practices His ways you can find this. Aren’t you tired of mean and impatient people and their self centered approach? Stay solid with God’s foundation and the course He’s given to all of us and we have a great chance to live in a better world, most especially for the new and the coming generations in which this legacy must live on. If not, if you’ll pay attention, the culture in which most of us live will lead to destruction versus a greater life. We can no longer live life with God on the sideline; we need Him and His words in the center of all that we do and now! “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Early last year, I received a call from my wife’s school. They informed me that my wife had to be checked due to a severe headache she’s experiencing. Found out later on at the Hospital she has a ruptured blood vessel in her brain and she will have to go through angiogram procedure. During that time I was going through a program called Christ Renews His Parish in my Church, and I can never forget the outpouring of God’s love, grace, and goodness through God’s people. From folks taking turns bringing meals to us on a daily basis, getting the kids to school (pick-up and drop-off), all the prayer intentions throughout the parish and the CFC community, my wife being lifted up in prayers everywhere and all the way to the Vatican. We haven’t witnessed such effort, and only in God’s community where people opened their hearts to the working of God’s Spirit all things are possible. Truly just a glimpse of what communities could become if we obey God’s ways. To make a good story great, after a cat scan I was informed that my wife’s case is 80% aneurysm and that they saw bleeding in her brain. We’re very well aware the seriousness of her condition. The angiogram procedure to help the doctor determine where the repair will take place, all of a sudden they couldn’t find the ruptured blood vessel and her severe headache that went on for a day all of a sudden was completely gone. The doctor told me in the recovery room, “I can’t explain this, but there’s nothing to repair because we can’t find anything, your wife is perfectly healthy! But she will have to stay in the hospital for three days for observation. The very same doctor who told me that her case is 80% aneurysm based upon what he saw on her cat scan couldn’t explain it…what happened to the two cat scans that showed bleeding and ruptured blood vessel in her brain. We claim and thank God for a “miracle” from the working of the people in prayers that surrounds us and the healing of a deadly aneurysm. Praise and honor to God for He is a good God! He said in Matthew 18-20, “When two or three are gathered in my name, I’m in your midst.” Many people prayed as one body and God granted a great miracle! Keep Him as #1 priority in your lives no matter what and you will see His goodness unveil. I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-2 May the proclamation of God’s word and His works continue within your families and communities, and that He may touch you to open your heart to be true instrument of His love, peace and goodness. Make a commitment in building a better world with God leading your path starting with your own communities. Remain with Godly people and join Christ’s community for with us together in one body we can truly change the world. |
