God's Creation and Word

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."
-- John 1: 1-5

The Glory of God

How amazing are the things we see in our world? Sometimes we spend too much time working, worrying about our problems or just staying busy that we fail to stop and look at the incredible world in which we live. The framework for our incredible world was set in motion a very long time ago, but the beauty and incredible architecture are still bearing fruit to us today.

God's Greatest Gift

Sacred scripture, inspired by God, has been handed down for thousands of years and continues to have a great impact on us and the world we live in. It is truly amazing that text two thousand or more years old can still be so relevant to the world we live in today. The greatest gift bestowed upon man by God, was providing the guidance to do His will - the Word.

Sharing the Gift and the Glory

God's Creation and Word is bringing together a small part of God's Word, using scripture, and God's Glory, using images of the world we live in today. The inspiration for each piece, a reflection or other such description will be provided herein in the hope that the sharing will continue to inspire others.

You Can Trust A Little More
March 2009

The image of the week caught my attention very early in the morning as I was driving to Jacksonville. I couldn't resist what God placed before my eyes, I had to stop for a moment to capture this wonderful image of God's love. Reminds me of what was said in Genesis-"Let man have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and the cattle, and over all the wild animals and the creatures that crawl on the ground."

My Precious Child
March 2009

The image of the week was captured when my daughter Mia was five years old while I was working in my office one summer. It all of a sudden got quiet and when I turned to see what my daughter was doing, I saw her in front of a mirror kissing herself. I had just enough time to grab my camera to shoot that wonderful moment. Thank God I captured it since that was the only time she did it, never got to see her do it again.

My Precious Child

You see, my daughter Mia was born with Down Syndrome, which made her more special to our family and we thank God for giving her to us and for making her an important part of our lives. Her loving nature and qualities that a lot of people does not have are truly God sent. We learn from her as much as she learns from us. There are many challenges still lay ahead with education and in learning and how to become independent, but she truly is in the right path with God leading her path.

By His Wounds
March 2009

It’s Lent once again and last Monday right after the launch of God’s Creation and Word website, I received an e-mail of affirmation from my godfather. He also mentioned and talked about one of my artwork “Crown of Thorns” in which I created on Good Friday 2001, out of a tree branch and metal spikes, just so my focus that day was on Jesus. Since I’ve been debating this week if I should use this old piece or not, when he mentioned “The Crown of Thorns”, it confirms that this must be the appropriate piece for the week, reminds me of what real love truly means.

Do Not Worry
February 2009
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, What are we to eat? Or What are we to drink? Or What are we to wear? All these things are the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for the day is its own evil.
Matthew 6:25-34

General Message from Artist

I felt that God spoke to me in my heart. He says, “My creation is no less than perfect if everyone will learn how to see and appreciate it, your guide is in the book of life.” I must be obedient to this message. Ever since, I’ve been moved to truly see and appreciate His wonderful creation and words which truly give me peace. It’s not like I didn’t know how to compose properly when I shoot pictures nor didn’t know how to organize and gather the proper elements when creating an image. I just have a true conviction and the passion using my God given gift to capture the beauty of His love and creation in our natural environment.

We all are given a special gift, planted in each of us when He created us. Each are special and was meant to be used for His glory and to build His kingdom. Analyze your strength and find that special gift within you. Develop it and use it for the glory of God and you will be rewarded.

Appreciate the sunshine, all that surrounds you, the beautiful environment that God has given us which meant to give us comfort if we learn to appreciate it. All material possessions can all be gone tomorrow but the trees, the sunshine, and the free air we breathe, our loved one, all came from God will always be with us. Focus on loving God and family and do your very BEST with the given talent and undertaking His given you and He will do the rest!
