The image of the week caught my attention very early in the morning as I was driving to Jacksonville. I couldn't resist what God placed before my eyes, I had to stop for a moment to capture this wonderful image of God's love. Reminds me of what was said in Genesis-"Let man have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and the cattle, and over all the wild animals and the creatures that crawl on the ground." |

The image of the week was captured when my daughter Mia was five years old while I was working in my office one summer. It all of a sudden got quiet and when I turned to see what my daughter was doing, I saw her in front of a mirror kissing herself. I had just enough time to grab my camera to shoot that wonderful moment. Thank God I captured it since that was the only time she did it, never got to see her do it again.
You see, my daughter Mia was born with Down Syndrome, which made her more special to our family and we thank God for giving her to us and for making her an important part of our lives. Her loving nature and qualities that a lot of people does not have are truly God sent. We learn from her as much as she learns from us. There are many challenges still lay ahead with education and in learning and how to become independent, but she truly is in the right path with God leading her path. |

It’s Lent once again and last Monday right after the launch of God’s Creation and Word website, I received an e-mail of affirmation from my godfather. He also mentioned and talked about one of my artwork “Crown of Thorns” in which I created on Good Friday 2001, out of a tree branch and metal spikes, just so my focus that day was on Jesus. Since I’ve been debating this week if I should use this old piece or not, when he mentioned “The Crown of Thorns”, it confirms that this must be the appropriate piece for the week, reminds me of what real love truly means. |

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, What are we to eat? Or What are we to drink? Or What are we to wear? All these things are the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for the day is its own evil. Matthew 6:25-34
